Guess Again: MLB has another PED Scandal...Or does It?

Will Steroids & Sports ever be free of one another? No. And that's not the Players fault.

Today brought about another chapter in the Performance enhancing drugs saga. But what's different about today's story is that no one tested positive or is suing for damage done to their "name". No, today's news matters because MLB brought this on themselves. When MLB was forced to testify in front of congress, they promised to implement certain investigative tactics to keep the Juice out of the game. Hence, "The Department of Investigation". This isn't a government agency, this MLB's own unit of investigators. 

They decided to do more than just implement rules and punishments  They wanted to show the world they are going to every extent to get players to stop using. But the issue here is they continue to throw these players under the bus and for what? Because there's a ton of money at stake and no one wants to downgrade from a Ferrari to a fiat. So the people in power keep throwing these guys under the bus. And usually, its guys who have been around. Most people forget that a big gripe during the first few years of testing was that no "big name superstars" got caught using. Then all of the sudden the Mitchell report comes out and everyone was on the list. It was a a nightmare. But not for Major League Baseball.

They got their money, the game was more popular than ever, and they didn't give a rats ass about these guys. The players are the fall guys and the owners throw them away like yesterdays leftovers. I understand the players got paid too. They profited and this is the price they have to pay. They sold their soul, their dignity and their legacy for millions.  Most of us would have too though. That's why I think its unfair to make such a big deal about it. These guys are grown men playing a children's game. There are more important things in life than sports and that's coming from a sports fanatic.

So lighten up people and enjoy the game. That's it's whole purpose. To entertain all you lazy, fat fuck wannabees.
