Wes Welker has left the New England Patriots and signed a 2 year deal with the Denver Broncos. The deal is for a total of 12 million. There are also incentives if Welker catches 90 passes in each season. Welker is 31 years old and wanted to get paid, the Patriots had other plans.
They quickly responded by signing Danny Amendola to a 5 year $31 million dollar contract. Amendola is 27 and is honestly a perfect fit in the Patriots offense. I love seeing Welker leave the division but you know he will come back to kick the Patriots in their ass for not paying him.
As for me, I respect Wes and wish him well, after all my team isn't going anywhere but to the depths of hell.
