Ed Reed Could End Up In San Francisco

A report has surfaced linking Ed Reed to be the next possible Raven on his way to the 49ers. The eight time Pro Bowler is 35 years old and the Ravens appear more than comfortable parting ways with aging stars. This  might come as a surprise to many but considering the connection between the two teams, it isn't that surprising. Ed Reed has been the best safety in the game for a long time and even though I loved watching him play, he is well past his prime.

If I were the 49ers I would avoid this trade and give Dashon Goldston his money. I would rather be a young athletic team than old and overpaid. Just ask the Jets about that one.

Vikings Trade Percy Harvin To Seahawks

Percy Harvin had no intention of resigning with the Vikings and instead of going through an extended holdout process, the team traded Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks will give the Vikings their first round pick this year and 7th round pick as well.

This trade actually works out for both teams, the vikings get a quality pick in the first round and one less headache. The Seahawks get a stud play maker who will thrive in Seattle's offense. I'm surprised the Vikings pulled the trigger considering Adrian Peterson told management he wanted Percy in Minnesota. 

Seattle and San Francisco will be in a dog fight all season long.
