It is being reported that over $700 million dollars in Katrina relief funds are no where to be found. Yes, you read that correctly. The government has no idea where the funds have gone and thousands of people have been left without any relief whatsoever. There is an "on going investigation into the matter"
What a fucking joke this country is now. We really have fallen on hard times in more ways than one. How can there be no oversight on $700 million dollars? Is this a sick joke or are people really that greedy and corrupt? Most of the people who have been relying on those funds are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. You can't possibly tell me no ones knows where the money is.
Unless this is the greatest robbery in history or the mafia got it's hands on the Katrina money, this had to be an inside job. Not to get into conspiracy's but there's no way someone could just walk away with that much money. I pray they find it, give it those who need it and everyone involved is prosecuted. Those are the people who deserve to suffer and go to jail.
