Kobe is the Most Competitive Player in the Game. |
According to a trainer working with the US men's basketball team, he ran into Kobe Bryant while in Vegas. He and Kobe chatted for a bit and exchanged contact information. He told Kobe to give him a call if he wanted to do some extra conditioning.
A few days later Kobe calls the trainer at 4:15 am, asking him to come to the gym. The trainer and Kobe worked out for a little over an hour. At the conclusion of the workout, the trainer left the gym and went home to get some sleep before the teams scrimmage at 11 am.
The trainer then says that when he arrived at the warm ups for the scrimmage he saw Kobe shooting at the other end of the court. As he approached Kobe they began a dialogue that went like this:
"On the right side of the practice facility was Kobe by himself shooting jumpers. And this is how our next conversation went — I went over to him, patted him on the back and said, ‘Good work this morning.
Huh?’
‘Like, the conditioning. Good work.’
‘Oh. Yeah, thanks Rob. I really appreciate it.’
‘So when did you finish?’
‘Finish what?’
‘Getting your shots up. What time did you leave the facility?’
‘Oh just now. I wanted 800 makes so yeah, just now"
Need I say more? That is why the man is a 5 time world champion and why no one will ever come close his competitiveness. In that regard him and Jordan are 2 of a kind.
