Student Sues Lehigh University For $1.3 Million Over Grades

Megan Thode is suing Lehigh University for 1.3 million because of a C+ grade that has allegedly prevented her from attending a preferred graduate program. Thode was pursuing a master’s in counseling and human services when she received the C+ grade in a fieldwork course in 2009. In order to stay in the program, you must pass with no less than a B.

She presently works as a drug and alcohol counselor, instead of a state certified counselor.  Her attorney is arguing that the 1.3 million is a representation of what Thode would have earned over the lifetime of her career if she was instead state certified. The lawsuit also claims that her lower marks where a result of Thode being an advocate of Gay and Lesbian rights.

We shall see how this one turns out
