Pau Gasol has a partial tear in plantar fascia of his right foot. This means Gasol will be out at least 4-6 weeks and leaves the Lakers light in the back court. Gasol suffered the injury in the first half of the Lakers win over the Nets last night.
The Lakers were already without Dwight Howard, who has been playing with an injured shoulder. Without Gasol, who has been playing at a high level since returning to the starting lineup, it will be difficult for the Lakers to continue their current winning ways.
I guess Kobe will get to keep shooting. No complaints from me.
